Prof. C. Sivasankar

Prof. Dr. C. Sivasankar is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Pondicherry University. He completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at Thirumagal Mills College, Gudiyattam, and his M.Sc. at Muthurangam Government Arts College, Vellore, under the University of Madras. He earned his Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, under Prof. Dr. A. G. Samuelson.

He subsequently gained international postdoctoral research experience at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany, under Prof. F. Tuczek; Osaka University, Japan, under Prof. Hiroki Sasai; and The Scripps Research Institute, USA, under Prof. R. A. Periana, in collaboration with Prof. William Goddard of Caltech.

His research interests include catalysis, organometallic chemistry, computational chemistry, and bioinorganic chemistry. His contributions have been recognized with the Bronze Medal of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) and the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), London.
