Grievance redressal

If something has gone wrong, say so

A grievance route that is hard to find is not a grievance route. This page states how to raise a matter with ACIC-PUSH and what happens next.

The process

Five stages, in order

Timelines for each stage will be published with the Centre’s formal grievance policy.

  1. 01

    Raise it

Send the grievance through the contact routes, marked as a grievance. Include what happened, when, who was involved and what outcome you are seeking.

  2. 02

    Acknowledgement

The Centre acknowledges receipt and records the matter. You are told who is handling it.

  3. 03

    Examination

The responsible officer examines the matter, seeks the relevant records, and may ask you for further detail.

  4. 04

    Outcome

You receive a reasoned response setting out the finding and any action taken.

  5. 05

    Escalation

If the response does not resolve the matter, it may be escalated to the designated authority within the Centre’s governance structure.

What can be raised

Anything the Centre is responsible for

  • A programme, selection or admission decision
  • Conduct of staff, mentors, incubatees or facility users
  • Facility access, safety or usage
  • Publication of your information, or a directory entry
  • Handling of a submission, application or enquiry
  • Any matter covered by the Centre’s Code of Conduct

Matters covered by the applicable workplace and anti-harassment policy follow that policy’s own procedure, which takes precedence over this general route.
