Prof. B. Charumathi

Dr. B. Charumathi is Professor, Department of Management Studies, Pondicherry University, with three decades of experience in teaching, research, entrepreneurial leadership. Her expertise spans innovation, sustainable finance, corporate governance, social impact, financial reporting and responsible business. She has made significant contributions to research and academic development through doctoral supervision, scholarly publications, books, externally funded projects and the development of innovative indices, models and frameworks.

She plays an active role in strengthening the student innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem at Pondicherry University as Nodal Officer, Seva First Innovation Challenges; Nodal Officer, Startup Cell; Coordinator, Startup Club; Faculty Advisor, PU E-Cell; Coordinator, SDG 9 and PMKVY 4.0. She has also organized and contributed to hackathons, startup programmes and entrepreneurship development initiatives.

Her recognitions include the SDG Visionary Women Award 2026, First Gurushreshtha Award 2022 from the ICSI, MCA, GoI, and AICTE Career Award for Young Teachers. She is the Project Leader for ACIC Project and committed to connecting students, researchers, startups, industry and communities to foster inclusive, collaborative and impact-driven innovation and entrepreneurship.
